That’s right: she was a member of Labor Lawyers—I had forgotten. In the 1997 budget Mr Costello and the former Liberal government scrapped the universal co-contribution. So, rather than focus on alleged things that may or may not occur in the budget, you should have a little look back through history and look at the largest broken promise in Australian history when it comes to superannuation.
