Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Mr Katter a member of the government for the 12 years of inaction that he talks about ?

it is all very well to use a colonels figures for DFRBF payments but how about other ranks benefits. They by far outnumbered senior officers.

I retired from the Army after a five year short service commission and the reason I left was due to psychological trauma after being shot down in Vietnam. DVA took 30 years to recognise this complaint, (PTSD) with no back payment.

As far as DFRBF was concerned I received my contribution less 10% 'handling fees'.

If politicians choose to send young men to war they must also take full responsibility for the damage done.

All TPI veterans should have been compensated from the date of return from active duty not when DVA, presumably on direction from the government of the day, fought vigorously to deny such conditions.

Many veterans committed suicide due to the extra stress induced by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
